Simple or Religious?

The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.” [1 Corinthians 1.18-19]

Anyone holding to the world will never see the wisdom of the Cross.

Let that soak in.

And yet, those who have accepted the Cross (Jesus) understand it is the very quintessence of God's power.

So, why don't more "Christians" walk in God's power?

The simple answer is this: because they are not actually Christians.

The religious answer is still being answered to this day in untold volumes of religious writings, songs, and anecdotes.

The simple answer is just that: simple. The religious answer is as complicated as the endless words written and spoken about it. The simple answer requires only one solution: get saved. The religious answer offers no clear path for a solution but proudly defends man's innocence while making unfounded claims about God's character.

Father, help me to keep it simple with my faith. Help me to avoid all the confusion associated with all the religious explanations that offer no real solution.
