Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they? [Isaiah 2.22]
This verse comes on the end of a section where Isaiah is talking about idols. What gives?
"What gives" is that idols are the creations of humans! No matter what 'power' is attributed to an idol, it can only reflect that 'power' of the one who created it.
What creations of man have become our idols?
You know, I am going to leave it at the question above today...
Father, forgive me for trusting in anything that is the work of man. Please give me the discernment to identify those idols and the grace to break free from serving them.
