After this, David asked the LORD, “Should I move back to one of the towns of Judah?” “Yes,” the LORD replied. Then David asked, “Which town should I go to?” “To Hebron,” the LORD answered. [2 Samuel 2.1]
It sounds just like a normal conversation between David and the LORD.
Elsewhere, it is noted that David was a man after God's own heart.
Is it any wonder then that David spoke so openly and freely with God?
What does it mean to be a man after God's own heart? Well, for starters it obviously means to carry on matter of fact conversations with God.
Hmm.
Father, forgive me for making prayer to be some religious exercise instead of normal conversation with You.
