And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. [Romans 8.28]
God causes everything to work together for the good...
Why is that?
Because God is good.
You are good and do only good; teach me your decrees. [Psalm 119:68]
The key for us is to simply have God involved in every part of our lives. That is what it means to love God and seek His Kingdom first.
Because God is not deficient in goodness, and, because we are deficient in goodness, we need God.
We will never fulfill God's purpose for our lives without His goodness. It is therefore our responsibility to seek God in everything!
Faith is the only thing that pleases God. It is not ironic then that faith is given to every person by God (Who is good)!
Father, help us to understand that we simply do not possess the goodness to please You apart from You.
