Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. [Romans 8.5]
What are you thinking?
If what Paul states here is true (and it is), then what we think about is a window into our salvation (or lack thereof).
The Holt Spirit is not just an "option" for believers. He is essential for, without Him, we are powerless to live holy and therefore faithful lives that are pleasing to God.
Our thoughts then reveal the absence or presence of the Holy Spirit.
So, what are you thinking?
Father, help us to understand ourselves based on the obvious presence of Your Spirit (or absence thereof).
