Ask Me For Anything...

That night God appeared to Solomon and said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!” [2 Chronicles 1.7]

Imagine God saying this to you. What would that be like?

Oh wait, God DID say this to you...

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. [John 15.16]

At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. [John 16.23]

Ok, so that is established! We have the opportunity to ask God for anything!

What will it be?

( crickets... )

What WILL it be?

Suddenly, I feel quite inadequate. Unprepared. Clueless.

God has asked me - asked us - "What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!"

So, what is the answer?

What an opportunity!

My answer will prove God-pleasing wisdom or ...not.

What will it be? Come on, what WILL it be???

Father in heaven, I want to answer Your question today... Would You glorify Your Name in the current events unfolding in the United States of America so that everyone in this country and all the world would see that You are God and there is no other?
