Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you. [2 Timothy 1.14]
If we are to "carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to us," then, there exists the possibility that we can also fail to do so. And, that would be because we do not allow the power of the Holy Spirit to live out God's will through us.
This is a sober truth. It will take effort to carefully guard the truth.
Father, forgive me for living in a spiritually dull attitude toward the precious truth that has been entrusted to me. Forgive me for not allowing Your Spirit to quicken my life and senses to all that is You. Forgive me for such a minimal prayer life and low intake of Your Word.
