I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets. [Revelation 8.2]
Is this the first mention of the seven angels who stand before God? Maybe. Maybe not.
Again, the number seven recurs a lot in Revelation.
Could these seven angels be one and the same as the angels of the seven churches? If so, it is interesting that earlier, these seven angels were reviewed by God and rated for their individual spiritual condition.
What stands out to me then, is that these seven angels, though not all in perfect spiritual condition, could still be used by God in all things pertaining to Revelation.
I feel like there is so much more to be grasped here, but I am feeling so dull!
Father, help me to understand the book of Revelation! I want to comprehend more of what it is saying - I feel it is necessary in these days in which I live - not only for me, but for those I minister to.
