“Write this letter to the angel of the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars: "I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead. [Revelation 3.1]
I am just thinking today about everything associated with the number 7.
What made me think about "7” today was the passage above.. in yesterday's reading, the same One with the seven stars and seven lampstands is, in today's reading, now said to be holding seven stars and the sevenfold Spirit of God.
Is there a correlation? I could imagine so.
I am wondering if every reference to "seven" is a reference to God's Spirit?
The cool thing about this is the potential it reveals for God's church - the bride of Christ - you and me- to be in unity with God and His Spirit.
We should consider this further!
Father, please continue to speak through Your Word!
