God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. [Ephesians 3.10]

If the Church is to display God's Wisdom to unseen rulers and authorities in heavenly places, then we have some spiritual warfare to get to!

It is so easy to relax into a non-spiritual life of things that are seen, felt, tasted, and touched. More dangerously so, it is all too easy to let these natural things determine what we believe spiritually.

We can be certain that we have an enemy. Why can we be certain? Because our Father has an enemy. That enemy kills, steals, and destroys - he is a liar and the father of lies - there is no truth in him. This enemy works in the realm of the unseen, where, unseen, he orchestrates circumstances and events that are seen.

So what we see as a problem is not really the problem at all - it is the symptom of an unseen problem!

Doesn't it make sense then, that the Church should be at work in the realm of the unseen to counter the works of the destroyer? Is it not more evident than ever that the Church needs to get to work in the realm of the unseen letting those rulers and authorities in heavenly places know that God is still in charge and we are there as His Ambassadors to enforce it!

So, how does the Church work in the realm of the unseen? PRAYER.

There is work to be done through prayer!

Father, I want to display Your wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places! Help me - help us as the Church - to do just that!
