Solomon's Wisdom

1 Kings 3:16-28

Jerry Springer, Dr. Phil and the host of daytime ridiculousness have nothing on this story from the Bible.

The women were prostitutes. They were living together. Undoubtedly bastard children were being born. What else was going on? Who knows. But these were the characters in this drama - and what a drama it was.

It seems odd to me that this level of human existence would even have an ear with the king.

I am not sure what there is to learn for us from this story. Regardless of what I think though, this story made it in the Bible for the demonstration of unparalleled wisdom by Solomon.

Father, the evidence of Solomon's wisdom is undeniable. And, it is all because he sought it from You.
