“But I did obey the LORD,” Saul insisted. “I carried out the mission he gave me. I brought back King Agag, but I destroyed everyone else. Then my troops brought in the best of the sheep, goats, cattle, and plunder to sacrifice to the LORD your God in Gilgal.” [1 Samuel 15.20-21]
You know, just because we may think we have done the LORD's will does not mean we have.
What we do must line up with what God says. Period. There needs to be no explanations for clarification.
I need to think about this...
Father, I want to live in obedience to You. I realize that is something I am utterly unable to do though. I know You provided a better plan. I know You provided Your Son and I am to repent of my ways and believe on Him. I know there is no other way.
