The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. [Psalm 37.23-24]
We have seen it all our lives: someone walking with another person holding their hand so they do not fall if they stumble.
It starts with babies and tends to end with senior citizens. Sometimes however, even those in midlife are debilitated in a way that they require assistance to prevent falling.
The lesson here is not that people will never stumble. The lesson is that God holds the hands of His own and, when they stumble, they will not fall.
Everyone stumbles.
But not everyone falls.
There is a huge difference between just stumbling and falling!
The difference is found in the One holding our hand.
Father, there is not much I can say beyond what I have written here. I want my hands to be in Yours constantly.
