Pray

Hear me as I pray, O LORD. Be merciful and answer me! My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.” [Psalm 27.7-8]

"LORD, I am coming! I have indeed heard Your call to prayer!"

For many, this is not the case. In fact, most do not pray with any consistency, let alone accuracy.

Jesus asked the disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane:

Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, "Couldn't you watch with me even one hour? [Matthew 26.40]

For all the Body of Christ - the Church - does today, it seems to me we do not pray enough.

Surely, all the efforts of the Church would meet more success in the sanctuary of prayer.

Father, help us to pray...
