Pride is a real problem. In fact, no relationship with God can survive human pride.
Pride is the main reason people do not acknowledge God and repent.
Fear is pride. (This statement will require much meditation relative to the Bible to understand) Any action resultant to fear is an action of pride. Self-preservation is an action resultant to fear - it essentially says, "If I do not care for myself, who will?" And that, is a proud statement.
Father, I can think of many things in my own life that are nothing but pride. Help me to rid myself of these things!
