What Are The Plans Today?

You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. [Proverbs 19.21]

What are the plans today? Go to work? Find a job? Have a conversation? Mow the lawn? Go fishing? Build a house? Buy a car? Visit a friend? Preach a sermon? Teach a lesson?

The list could go on forever - there is so much we can do! But what is the LORD's purpose?

Yahweh's purpose is His will. His will is revealed in heaven - in His possessions and in His character. He owns salvation - it belongs to Him according to the Bible (Revelation 7.10 & 19.1) - and He intends to share it with the world (those who believe). We are also told in many places that blessing, honor, glory, power, wisdom, & strength belong to God - all of which He intends to share with His own. This is His will - this is His purpose.

Having clarified God's purpose and will, it would be prudent for us to consider the important of our purpose and will to match His! If it's what God wants, it should be what we want.

Father, help me to forget about my own plans and fulfill Your plans and purpose with my life instead!
