Here is the main point: We have a High Priest who sat down in the place of honor beside the throne of the majestic God in heaven. [Hebrews 8.1]
Is it just me, or is this Kingdom-speak? The words that lead me to this conclusion are honor, throne, and majestic. These are Kingdom word! They are Kingdom-speak! Interestingly enough, the writer said, "Here is the main point..."!
In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. [Hebrews 9.22]
I want to note a thought about this verse also... If we reverse engineer this statement, it could be concluded that if there is no forgiveness, there was no blood applied. This is precisely why we MUST forgive! If we do not accept the blood of Christ for others, we inadvertently disqualify ourselves of the benefit of the blood!
Father, I am overwhelmed today by the Kingdom-speak and the forgiveness revelation in today's reading! Thank You!
