“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom. [Luke 12.32]
Wow.for all the attention I have been giving the Kingdom of God over the last few weeks, this verse blows me away!
The Kingdom of God is a family business. God, the King, has, through the Prince (the Son, Jesus) invited to be adopted all who will to become family members and participate in, and reap the benefit of, the family business. Jesus Himself told us He gives us the keys to the Kingdom (Matthew 16.19).
How many of us really grasp the fullness of the Kingdom? It is purely a faith thing. Without faith, one may never recognize or realize a single benefit of being in the family business - the Kingdom of God.
However, the family business is not ours to simply benefit from! It is also our responsibility in part to run the thing! There is a harvest field requiring workers. The work is very specific - to return back that which was stolen to God. There are lives to be changed - souls to be saved - and it is the work of the family to present and restore to the King His creation.
It is all very spiritual, but not without material effect.
Father, help me to comprehend all that You desire me to know about the Kingdom!
