Pleasing God?

So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will understand that I am he. I do nothing on my own but say only what the Father taught me. And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.” Then many who heard him say these things believed in him. [John 8.28-30]

Wouldn't it be nice to KNOW we are pleasing the Father?

Well, in our ignorance, the best chance we have of pleasing God is to at least mimic someone else that we know is pleasing to God - Jesus. And, the only way we can mimic Jesus is to know absolutely everything we can about Him! We must study His words AND actions remembering that He Himself said He always does what pleases the Father.

Father, I want to learn more of Jesus - give me eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart to understand!
