One day Zechariah was serving God in the Temple, for his order was on duty that week. As was the custom of the priests, he was chosen by lot to enter the sanctuary of the Lord and burn incense. While the incense was being burned, a great crowd stood outside, praying. [Luke 1.8-10]
A great crowd was praying outside while God was encountering Zechariah on the inside unbeknownst to them.
The lesson here is simple: the answers to our prayers, even those offered corporately, may come to or through another person!
In other words, we don't have to see a direct answer to our prayers! The burden lies upon us to simply and obediently pray. God will answer the prayer precisely when and where is appropriate.
What a relief! What a burden!
Father, help us to see that our prayers may manifest answers in other places! Help us to pray obediently!
