We Found The Messiah

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of these men who heard what John said and then followed Jesus. Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means “Christ”). [John 1.40-41]

We have found the Messiah.

We were expecting Him.

Andrew only spent a short amount of time with Jesus (the rest of a day) and then made the declaration to his brother of having found the Messiah.

Then and now, it doesn't take long to recognize and know Jesus. However, our expectations must line up with what has been prophesied about Him.

Many people expect many different things from Jesus. But just because people expect things does not necessarily means those things are correct. Likewise, just because people expect nothing of Jesus does not negate His work either.

My thoughts today lead me to a question. Does 'Jesus in me' reveal anything to anyone? Does anyone think to themselves or declare openly that they have found Messiah in me?

Father, I have found the Messiah. Thank You!
