Doctrine Of Trouble

The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the godly will flourish. [Proverbs 14.11]

Here again is a biblical indicator that troubles are the result of sin and not some random act of God.

I think Christians are all too quick to relieve themselves of their responsibility for their troubles and consequently attribute troubles to God. This just seems proud and arrogant to me.

I know the Bible is clear that Christ followers will suffer trials and tribulations, but I think our doctrines of trouble have fallen woefully short in distinguishing between thi and what Proverbs is speaking about.

Father, help me to distinguish between what is Your doing and what is my doing!
