Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises. Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling. [Psalm 66.8-9]
This is only one of many references in today's OYCB readings from the Psalms that speaks of the entirety of the earth worshiping God.
No doubt, God desires for His entire creation to acknowledge and worship Him. I find it difficult to believe that God is satisfied with only little pockets of worshipers here and there across the planet. As surely as he is God of this universe, He wants the devotion and praise of the whole world.
Think about it - the heavens declare His glory! The natural earth speaks of its Creator! But man, well, not so much. As a matter of fact, man, in his refusal to worship God, also vehemently denies God the title of Creator and chooses instead to sway gullible souls to believe outlandish ideas of random cosmic happenstance that would somehow then result in universal order! Incredible (as in, not credible!!
But! The lies do not change the fact! God is God and the only way to truly align with the abundance and beauty of this universe is to adore Him!
Father, I for one wish to devote my life and energy to You. You are supreme LORD. You are the Creator of this entire universe as it is known and beyond. I find the perfect explanation of all things universal in You and Your unmatched supremacy over all. I reject all the futile attempts of man to use Your science to disprove You! You are God!
