Is it just me, or was the OYB OT reading today all about reproduction? If one only imagines for a second how much actual love-making would have been necessary to accomplish all the pregnancies just talked about today... whew! And, if all the human reproduction wasn't enough, then Genesis goes into detail of Jacob facilitating reproduction for the sheep and goats!
No big deal in the NT today - Jesus just calls together His men and gives them the authority to heal and cast our demons! Amazingly, armed with that kind of power, they were still warned they would be ill-received and suffer for it!
Father, if there is a lesson for me today in the OYB, it would seem I should understand that even though the disciples were equipped with authority from You, they were going to face suffering.
