Frustration

I am not feeling the love from Paul today. It sounds as if Paul has had about all he can stomach of the Corinthian people. Why the change in tone? Did Paul write himself into a rage?

Based upon all of II Corinthians, there is, no doubt, a faction that Paul feels he is up against. In my estimation, it seems, again no doubt, that this faction is determined to undo what Paul has done. Paul's words resound of refuting statements and actions that, we as readers, are not privy to. But, those statements and actions are without question outside the realm of what Paul taught the people.

How frustrating for Paul!

How frustrating for those who evangelize today as well!

Father, give us grace to proceed on our journey when it seems like the enemy is undoing everything we are trying to do. AND... Give us the grace to understand when what we are doing may be what WE are doing and is outside of Your blessing and protection.
