The Lord has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble. He will keep you safe. [Isaiah 8.11-14a]
Wow, it is interesting to read this in light of current events in the USA.
Once again today, I struggle with Messianic prophecy as I find the acclaimed Isaiah 9.6 just kind of dropped into the story. The context of this passage seems unnatural - out of place. Is there something wrong with me that I say this?
Father, I believe You. I believe Your Son. Help me to understand the context of the prophecies concerning Messiah and not to struggle with seeing the "fit". Convince me Lord.
