There is no lack for significance when the Temple sanctuary curtain was torn in two. That curtain was quite literally the divider between God and man. Jesus opened it up for all. All that the Temple represented, it's pomp and circumstance - its ritual, was all changed in a moment. It was both fulfilled and antiquated in one action. A new era in the story of God and man was borne.
