Who Will Hear It?

Who will hear these lessons from the past and see the ruin that awaits you in the future? Who allowed  Israel to be robbed and hurt? It was the LORD, against whom we sinned, for the people would not walk in his path, nor would they obey his law. [Isaiah 42.23-24]

Who will hear the lessons from the past that the Bible chronicles and recognize the impending peril?

To declare some kind of immunity by proclaiming "Jesus" while looking and acting nothing like Him is a mockery. Even Jesus warned of the fate of such people.

So many descriptions of God found in the Scriptures make note that He created everything. Today's OYCB reading is a good example of this. These descriptions are typically found in conjunction with descriptions of His power and will and are often a warning of His judgment.

Who will hear it?

Father, I want to "hear" Your Word with the understanding everything happens for a reason and that nothing is random.
