It is no misrepresentation of the context of this passage to see that we are given a timeless, well-defined description of God's character. In simplest of terms, God is described as "Healer" and "Provider."
Jesus, as should have been expected, fit this description perfectly.
God's children should fit this description also.
“I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed. [Malachi 3.6]
Father, help us to understand that You do not change. You didn't change in Your Advent in Jesus Christ and You have not changed in Your Holy Spirit indwelling followers of Christ. You are always easily identified in Your healing and provision. Help us take this to heart and examine ourselves accordingly.
