Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—riding on a donkey’s colt. [Zechariah 9.9]
This is not the only reference to Jesus in today's OYCB reading. However, I confess that even recognizing these Messianic references, I struggle to understand their context in Zechariah's writing.
Father, show me Jesus. I see phrases that I recognize as being about Him, but help me to understand and recognize Him for myself through all Your Word.
