Go Alone?

Barak told her, “I will go, but only if you go with me.” [Judges 4.8]

There is so much for us to learn from this little statement made by Barak.

Aside from the fact that Barak refused to go except Deborah come with him is a lesson all by itself.

But what primarily speaks to me today is that Barak didn't want to go alone. Why? Was he afraid? Most likely that was the case.

When God's authority speaks in our life, we would do well to trust it and follow it regardless who goes with us.

Mmm. That's a lot to consider.

Father, help me to not be afraid to go alone when You give me direction because I know You are with me.
