We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. [Romans 3.22]
Oh, thank God!
As complicated as religion or the world make the Bible, it is not complicated at all. When we realize that God loves his creation and has always been focused on one thing: redeeming mankind, then, and only then, can we begin to comprehend the enormous simplicity of the Father's love.
There was no other motive in creation than to create a species that would glorify God in the same way God glorified it: by faith!
Regardless the circumstances we find ourselves in, God's plan is always love and redemption. It is always God's plan to redeem those who believe. Always.
It is Satan who complicates matters. In fact, his splitting hairs of details is his number one strategy to inspire doubt: "Has God really said...?"
But for God's people to have faith, means God's people must have His Word. It might also be said then that faith comes from knowing God - because God and His Word are one just as Jesus claimed He too was one with God ("I and my Father are one...").
The overwhelming problem today is that people do not know God. People know religion. People know denominations. People know theology and philosophy. People know science and technology. But people do not know God.
The shame of the statements above is that it doesn't require academic pedigree to know God, but simply hearing and believing God's Word. God's Word says:
We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. [Romans 3.22]
Father, I want to know You more than ever. May my life be found by You and all I encounter as that of a student of You - a student of Jesus Christ - a student of Your Word. So be it.
