The Kingdom

I, Daniel, was troubled by all I had seen, and my visions terrified me. So I approached one of those standing beside the throne and asked him what it all meant. He explained it to me like this: “These four huge beasts represent four kingdoms that will arise from the earth. But in the end, the holy people of the Most High will be given the kingdom, and they will rule forever and ever.” [Daniel 7.15-18]

Check this out:

What joy for the nation whose God is the LORD, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance. [Psalm 33.12]

There is a nation yet to be seen in the earth today. Oh, it exists, but not yet in the glory to which it shall increase! This nation "whose God is the LORD" has been 'seeded' all across the earth and it is maturing. It's significance is not found in its numbers but in its power:

You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. [Matthew 7.13-14]

No, it is not about the quantity, but about the quality of the nation whose God is the LORD. This nation consists of those faithful few who have not bowed their knee to the idols of this world - those who remain dedicated and true (like their Leader) ONLY to the King and His Kingdom which they serve - those whose lives are distinguishable from all others, mirroring their Messiah in every way. The people of the nation whose God is the LORD, like Abraham, will go out of their way to avoid misinterpretation of Who their Provider and Healer is and where their help comes from:

The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give back my people who were captured. But you may keep for yourself all the goods you have recovered.” Abram replied to the king of Sodom, “I solemnly swear to the LORD, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, that I will not take so much as a single thread or sandal thong from what belongs to you. Otherwise you might say, ‘I am the one who made Abram rich.’ [Genesis 14.21-23]

You see, Heaven is not the goal for the nation whose God is the LORD. They are indeed waiting to be transported to heaven in the future, but more importantly they are faithfully bringing the Kingdom to themselves in the present! This is what Jesus the Messiah demonstrated and taught! There IS Heaven to look forward to, but God's Kingdom transcends even Heaven and is not confined to time or space!

The "end" will be marked in time by the nation whose God is the LORD rising up in all "authority in heaven and earth" as Jesus demonstrated.

The nation whose God is the LORD is waiting around for nothing!

Father, I am inspired today to be and act like a citizen of the nation whose God is the LORD.
