"Pop"

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. [Psalm 4.8]

On this day, Thursday, May 6, 2021, my earthly father will very likely join those who have gone before us to meet our Lord.

I am declaring this verse over him today. I am declaring this verse over myself today.

As my dad, "Pop" as I call him, enters into eternity, a part of me enters into eternity as well. I have no regrets over this fact, but instead, I have great comfort and peace. 

As Pop very soon meets the Lord face to face and enters into eternal glory with Him, that part of me he carries with him also enjoys that same benefit.

I believe these statements today with all my heart and I am encouraged.

Father in heaven, receive Pop into Your loving arms today and relieve him of the burden and suffering of this life. So be it.
