New Information

Under the panels were four wheels that were connected to axles that had been cast as one unit with the cart. The wheels were 2 1⁄4 feet in diameter and were similar to chariot wheels. The axles, spokes, rims, and hubs were all cast from molten bronze. [1 Kings 7.32-33]

Why would I even think to write something about this passage from 1 Kings? I am not really sure, except that it stood out to me.

Here's what spoke to me. For all the times I have read this in times past, it never occurred to me that the axles of these water carts were not "floating" axles but instead were simply spindles cast with the rest of the cart body upon which the wheels then would have been mounted.

There is no significance to this revelation from the Bible except that after all these years of reading this, I am just now getting come comprehension of what it actually is saying about the construction of these carts!

This only confirms to me that the Bible continues to reveal new information previously missed every time I read it again. 

If I am just now 'getting it' about these axles, what else have I read for years that I have yet to comprehend? See what I mean?

Father, thank You for these axles and their description in Your Word. Thank You that the Bible, by design, contains a plethora of information just waiting to be revealed. Please continue to speak to me every day from Your Word!
