Willing Heart

All whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their sacred offerings to the LORD. They brought all the materials needed for the Tabernacle, for the performance of its rituals, and for the sacred garments. [Exodus 35.21]

Moses laid it all out for the people of Israel.

Some of the people were moved, and, in the context, it seems obvious that others were not.

It all has to do with an open heart toward God.

Is my heart available and willing to be stirred by God? This is a question we should ask ourselves perpetually.

Life is so distracting. We have to make effort to stay focused on God and His will in the earth. We have to stay focused on His Word to understand that He loves the world and wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. It takes dedication on our part to remain mindful of this fact.

It is worth considering that our prayer - based on God's Word - is the starting place for finding willingness in our hearts.

Father, help us to take Your Word to prayer and find Your Spirit moving our hearts to willingness to be used by You.
