Which Way Will It Be?

His brothers responded, “So you think you will be our king, do you? Do you actually think you will reign over us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dreams and the way he talked about them. [Genesis 37.8]

The taunts of Joseph's brothers must have been a painful reminder to them later when they would indeed bow before him.

A lot of people say a lot of things, but in the end, God's plan prevails.

The lesson for us all is that we strive to avoid speaking against (let alone working against) God. More times than not, unless we are absolutely sure of God's will in a particular circumstance, it behooves us to keep our mouths shut and our eyes and ears open.

So might be the case with the political environment in the USA today.

Who is actually SURE of what God is doing currently? Has the Church in America so abandoned God for modern culture that what is taking place now is only our inevitable and just reward? Or, are the prayers of repentance by genuine Godly people going to be answered in unforeseen ways? We have Biblical premise to believe either way. Which way will it be?

Father, help us to be keenly aware of You in this unprecedented time in American history.
