Who's Your Partner?

Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. [1 Corinthians 1.7-9]

I want to share the scripture above with some highlights of my own:

Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. [1 Corinthians 1.7-9]

The highlighted portions above are powerful by any estimation.

We have every spiritual gift we need. God will keep us strong SO we are free from blame. God is faithful to His Word. And, we are invited into partnership with Jesus!

What? Partnership with Jesus?

What does that mean?

Well, for starters, it means if Jesus took on the Cross, we also have a cross to bear. It means that if Jesus performed miracles, we also have miracles to perform. It means that if Jesus laid down His life, desires, and ambition for others, we also have others to place before us. It means that if Jesus brought forgiveness of sins for all who repent, we also bring forgiveness of sins for all who repent. It means that as Jesus reconciled people to God, we also have the ministry of reconciliation!

Who do our lives say we are in partnership with?

Father, help me to think about Who I am in partnership with today.
