You say, “Food was made for the stomach, and the stomach for food.” (This is true, though someday God will do away with both of them.) But you can’t say that our bodies were made for sexual immorality. They were made for the Lord, and the Lord cares about our bodies. [1 Corinthian 6.13]
I am just going to be frank here.
It is easy for a believer to conclude that just because God gave him or her physical urges, that he or she has grace from God to follow through with those urges. Now, that argument would make great sense if our purpose on earth was to procreate.
However, our purpose on earth is not to physically procreate, but to make disciples. Yes, of course, we can marry and have children, but that is not our purpose.
Our purpose on earth is spiritual, not physical. As we give this the consideration and properly align our thinking to it, we will understand that our bodies were made for service to the Lord, not the desires of our flesh.
We would do well to teach this to our young men and women before they find themselves in the middle of their "physical awareness."
Father, help us to understand that our bodies are Yours and for Your purpose. Expose the lies of Satan that lead us to believe that physical urges are reason enough to follow them!
