But in the end, the holy people of the Most High will be given the kingdom, and they will rule forever and ever.” [Daniel 7.18]
Wow. God's people will be given the kingdom to rule forever.
And if that's not enough... It is repeated:
Then the sovereignty, power, and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be given to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will last forever, and all rulers will serve and obey him.” [Daniel 7.27]
So, no matter what comes, God's people can be sure of this: the kingdom is theirs.
It makes me wonder how this relates to the numerous places God's people are told to be grateful - to give thanks - for things that, on the surface, seem hard to give thanks for. This very much includes "all people" as noted in 1 Timothy 2.1-4.
The reason we can give thanks for all people is because all people have been given to us!
Father, thank You for all people. As I pray each day for the nations of the world and particular individuals in that group, it is with gratitude. And, in that gratitude, I ask You to help them - I ask You to forgive them because of Jesus so that they might experience all salvation, healing, deliverance, provision, and the presence of Your Holy Spirit!
