Glorify God

Then another message came to me from the LORD:“Son of man, turn and face the city of Sidon and prophesy against it. Give the people of Sidon this message from the Sovereign LORD: “I am your enemy, O Sidon, and I will reveal my glory by what I do to you. When I bring judgment against you and reveal my holiness among you, everyone watching will know that I am the LORD. [Ezekiel 28.20-22]

There is one thing for sure that a person or entity does not want to hear from God: "I am your enemy!"

The way God has it all set up, everything brings Him glory - even the destruction of His enemies.

In light of the way the world is today, it occurs to me that nothing has changed about God and His glory. He will be glorified in every single circumstance in the earth today. He will be glorified in the destruction of His enemies and He will be glorified by His faithful followers who reveal His power through their faith.

Jesus glorified God while He was on earth. He glorified God by exercising His Kingdom authority over natural circumstances (healed the sick, raised the dead, calmed storms with a word, turned water into wine, walked on water). Jesus furthermore glorified God by proclaiming God's Kingdom to His followers and teaching them the ways of the Kingdom so they too might glorify God.

The ways of the Kingdom that Jesus revealed included "taking up His Cross" and Jesus even indicated His faithful followers would do the same.

God WILL be glorified. How He is glorified depends a lot upon us...

Father, I want to glorify You in the way that pleases You - a humble and contrite spirit that operates in child-like faith.
