Get Real

“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.  [Ezekiel 36.25-27]

Then when? This occurs after God brings His people back unto Himself.

So, are our hearts changed or still deceitful above all things and desperately wicked?

That answer is found simply in the fruit. What does the fruit of our lives say? Be honest.

I must say that the fruit of my life says I still have a deceitful and desperately wicked heart. That's not to say that a transition is not taking place, but it is certainly not complete.

Can we all just get real about this?

If we DO get real about it, then we will find it easy to repent.

Repentance is what we need right now.

Father, help us all to get real and rightly judge the fruit of our lives.
