Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale? Who is able to advise the Spirit of the LORD? Who knows enough to give him advice or teach him? Has the LORD ever needed anyone’s advice? Does he need instruction about what is good? Did someone teach him what is right or show him the path of justice? [Isaiah 40.12-14]
We must remember that God is God and there is no other.
I think too many people today acknowledge God, but only as some other additional facet to their lives. This is evidenced in once-a-week attendance at spiritual meetings but little to no spiritual activity throughout the week.
The problem stated above is further exposed in people who acknowledge God who, talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. They have the form of godliness, but there is no power.
God is indeed God and Lord over all. There is none His equal - there is none to rival Him.
There remains only the obedience of faith to please Him for nothing else amounts to anything.
When we become aware the God is indeed God, our lives will be lived differently. It won't be an inner struggle, it will only be obedience as, with that pure knowledge of God, we will acknowledge Him and His way as the only way.
God is Supreme.
Father, I want to become more aware of You. I don't need more self-awareness, I need more God-awareness!
