Solomon also built a palace for himself, and it took him thirteen years to complete the construction. [1 Kings 7.1]
It took seven years to build the Temple.
Was this the beginning of Solomon's distraction?
It is no secret that Solomon was led astray by his many wives, but, could this have been where it all began?
It is just interesting to consider these things...
Father, help me to look closely at Solomon's life. Help me to learn from his life, his successes, and his failures. Help me to correlate my own circumstances to Solomon's and build on the wisdom of Your Word so that I might live a life pleasing to You.
