A Spoonful of Sugar

So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to repent of their sins and turn to God. And they cast out many demons and healed many sick people, anointing them with olive oil. [Mark 6.12-13]

Check this out: "a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down."

Jesus sent the twelve out with a bold message: REPENT! And, even though He sent them out empty-handed (no food, extra clothes, or money), He equipped them with the power to heal and cast out demons.

No one really wants to hear the message of repentance. It is a hard message. It is painful and uncomfortable. It is necessary.

Jesus sent His disciples out with the hard message of repentance however He also commissioned them "with a spoonful of sugar" to heal the sick and cast out demons.

Perhaps the message of repentance that is needed in the earth today would have a little better acceptance (although nor overwhelming, as prophesied) if the messengers gave it with "a spoonful of sugar" - God's healing and deliverance.

Perhaps the message of repentance that is needed in the earth today would be validated by being accompanied by miracles.

The message of "miracles" goes with the message of repentance. Jesus demonstrated the fact.

The message of "miracles" goes with the message of repentance. The disciples demonstrated the fact.

The message of "miracles" goes with the message of repentance. Is it a fact in our ministry today?

Father, I want to be all that You have commissioned me to be. I want to be Your ambassador as Jesus was Your Ambassador and the disciples were Your ambassadors.
