After this, the man brought me back around to the east gateway. Suddenly, the glory of the God of Israel appeared from the east. The sound of his coming was like the roar of rushing waters, and the whole landscape shone with his glory. [Ezekiel 43.1-2]
After what? After measuring all the Temple in great detail. Holiness is in the details.
God's glory will not occupy just anything, anytime. There are details to be dealt with. Namely, sin must be purged and absolute holiness must be established.
This all sound overwhelming because it is. But thank God for forgiveness found in Jesus!
Father, I am reminded today that Jesus is my only hope of Your presence coming into me...
