Equality: Want To Go There?

I guess Jeremiah was a bigot. Oh wait, Jeremiah wrote what God said so...

Want to go there?

Equality is a strange word. One of the hottest topics today is the empowerment of women. But what does that really mean?

If women want not to be held back, why then would they want to be equal with men?

If women all become like men, then who will be like the women?

Have we forgotten what a magnificent creation the female human is? Have we failed to recognize the unique characteristics of a woman that make her the very heartbeat of her home, the beautiful prize in the eyes of her husband, the merciful matriarch, and the beloved confidant? 

Why would a woman ever wish to attain to the status of a man? Could it be because man has not properly respected and cherished the unique qualities that make her a woman?

Equality of the sexes is a farce. A man can never be a woman and a woman can never be a man. They have never been and never will be 'equal.' Every effort to bring equality to the sexes only further confuses and alienates both. 

It is not equality we need, it is humility. Men need to humble themselves to admit they need the completion of a woman. Women need to humble themselves to admit they need the completion of a man. That's the way it works... or, at least the way God set it up. 

What humanity today has done is a perversion of God's design. It is no wonder that homosexuality and gender confusion are at all-time highs. And, speaking of that, it is not ironic then that in the book of Romans in the New Testament, homosexuality and all other sexual perversions are attributed to pride. Yes, pride, the anti-practice of humility.

I am humbled to be a man. I cannot do what a woman can do. Nor should I desire to... that's where the humility comes in. And, the same applies to women. I am what I am and that is precisely where God wants to use me and show Himself strong through me.

What's next in the equality movement? I will tell you! It is that humans will desire to be god unto themselves. Oh wait, that's not next, that's now! Precious few people today look to God for guidance. All we need to do nowadays is "Google" any question we have.

If every man became a woman and every woman became a man, still humans would be miserable. The only hope for peace in this life is humbling ourselves before our Creator and allowing Him to fulfill His purpose in us (starting with our born sexual identity). I believe the suicide rate among transgenders and homosexuals is proof enough of this.

Peace and fulfillment do not come from equality. Peace and fulfillment come from humility before our Creator God.

Father, as the designer of man and woman, You have accomplished an amazing thing. Help me to appreciate Your design for what it is and work with You in it - not against You.
