Remember!

Then the two spies came down from the hill country, crossed the Jordan River, and reported to Joshua all that had happened to them. “The LORD has given us the whole land,” they said, “for all the people in the land are terrified of us.” [Joshua 2.23-24]

What a different report than the first time spies went into Canaan!

The difference between to two 'spying' missions was that The first time Israel contemplated entering Canaan they were fresh off great victory over Egypt. The second time they had spent nearly forty years in the wilderness seeing God's victory and provision the whole time. The difference between the two 'spying' missions was that the second time they remembered God's victories and the first time they did not.

How important is it that we remember God's victories in our lives? Ask Israel! For them, not remembering cost them forty years of wandering in the wilderness!

We should constantly rehearse God's victories that we have witnessed in our lives. We should not forget! Then, when we encounter more of life's difficulties, we will be much more likely to believe God will deliver us again!

Father, You have brought me to this place by Your power. I am alive because You have saved me. I will overcome my difficulties because You have delivered me from every difficulty to this point! Yes! Amen!
