He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. [2 Corinthians 5.15]
Living for Christ. Now there's a thought for the day.
What does it mean?
Well, for starters, living for Christ means not living for oneself but instead living for Jesus.
And, because living for Jesus was defined by Jesus Himself as living like Him, we have every tool we need. So all that is left to do now is to live like Jesus on this earth.
Simple, right? It really is ...in the most complicated sort of way!
Why is it so complicated to live like Jesus? I think at least partly because living like Christ means living by complete faith - relying on NO resource of our own, but instead, relying entirely upon what we believe God has to give through us!
So, it is not about what WE have, but what we have IN CHRIST.
Father, I want to live for Christ. I want to live like Christ.
