Who Touched Me?

But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.” [Luke 8.46]

"Someone deliberately touched me..."

Did Jesus not know who touched Him?

I want to point out here once again, that God and Jesus never asked a question for information. If they did, they would not be God - because God knows all.

Jesus asked this question, like so many others, so the person "asked" the question would think about the answer. This woman needed to think about the fact that she had decided that Jesus could heal her and that she needed to be public about it.

If God doesn't ask us questions, we are likely never to consider the answers.

She was already healed before Jesus asked the question. She could have slipped away in silence. But Jesus' question interrupted her thought pattern - she had to think about what had happened - and her thinking led her to respond in public revelation that she had had an experience with the Master that had changed her life. Her testimony changed in an instant from one of a slowly dying sick person to that of one full of life and vitality. She needed to tell her story - we needed to hear it!

Thank God for her testimony.

Father, I want to be faithful with my testimony. I want to search out and answer every question You have asked in the Bible - because I know Your questions reveal my answers!
